'Artefacts' is a series that I dedicate to my late grandfather who I never knew. This series explores familial lineage and pieces from my history that juxtapose the modern settings of the present. The primary setting for this series took place in a junkyard because I wanted to play around with the idea of "one man's trash is another man's treasure". 35mm Film photography. I have always been fascinated with the idea of a muse and the way that people are driven towards inspiration. In this series, I try to capture one or both of the definitions above in my film photography. I ask my models to be natural and I avoid any makeup or what I call 'applied beauty' in the photographs. Natural is beautiful and I think admiration of a muse comes from the soul not their external characteristics. 35mm Film Photography.
