'Artefacts' is a series that I dedicate to my late grandfather who I never knew. This series explores familial lineage and pieces from my history that juxtapose the modern settings of the present. The primary setting for this series took place in a junkyard because I wanted to play around with the idea of "one man's trash is another man's treasure". 35mm Film photography. Art has the power to heal, and it is in this series specifically that I try to capture, during the pandemic, moments where the artist evokes those feelings of serenity and passion. Art is a component through time that, unless labeled, cannot necessarily be pinpointed to any specific year, and film photography being the type of art form that captures these moments, makes them even more ephemeral and fluid in time. In this series, I aim to capture the artist naturally evoking passion and joy in the work that they are doing. 35mm Film Photography.
