Bodies in Light & Shadow
by Time IlluminatedAround 3pm EST on a most beautiful Sunday in March, I coincidentally happened to have my digital camera while at my friend's place. This was one of those *gasp* moments where I knew I had to capture something in the light. Since I am a fan of the way that bodies move, I began to play around with different body parts in shadow and light. While this was just an experiment with human gestures and natural source of sunlight coming together, I never close the door to any series that I start - always open to more ideas and inspiration in the future. Artefacts
by Time Illuminated'Artefacts' is a series that I dedicate to my late grandfather who I never knew. This series explores familial lineage and pieces from my history that juxtapose the modern settings of the present. The primary setting for this series took place in a junkyard because I wanted to play around with the idea of "one man's trash is another man's treasure". 35mm Film photography. Subjects In Creativity
by Time IlluminatedArt has the power to heal, and it is in this series specifically that I try to capture, during the pandemic, moments where the artist evokes those feelings of serenity and passion. Art is a component through time that, unless labeled, cannot necessarily be pinpointed to any specific year, and film photography being the type of art form that captures these moments, makes them even more ephemeral and fluid in time. In this series, I aim to capture the artist naturally evoking passion and joy in the work that they are doing. 35mm Film Photography. -
Muse
by Time IlluminatedI have always been fascinated with the idea of a muse and the way that people are driven towards inspiration. In this series, I try to capture one or both of the definitions above in my film photography. I ask my models to be natural and I avoid any makeup or what I call 'applied beauty' in the photographs. Natural is beautiful and I think admiration of a muse comes from the soul not their external characteristics. 35mm Film Photography.
