BUILT IN TIME

'Built In Time' is a collection based on building memories.

Places and spaces make up a huge part of who we are, what we do and how we do. I wanted to create a collection that is dedicated to those spaces and places that resonate with us. One of my earliest childhood memories is of my grandfather and I playing on the field in front of a mountain house that he had built with love, pride and craftsmanship when he was a young man. This memory is on repeat and this place, still standing decades later, will forever be my favourite spot in the world.

Physically, we are building new structures all the time. Metaphorically, different buildings and spaces are a representation of those memories we're creating and are a part of. The collection presents four types of places:

A beach hut (for the wave chasers), a city centre high rise (for the city dwellers), a barn house (for the suburban outliers) and a house in the sky (for the hometown dreamers).

I hope that you enjoy this collection as much as I did building it.
